H1N1 Added to HealthSmart's Fee Schedules
HealthSmart has updated all of our professional fee schedules with the two new Level II Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes for the H1N1 Vaccine. These HCPCS codes were added to the 2009 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Database on September 25, 2009. We ask that Providers submitting claims to any HealthSmart network use these new codes in regard to the H1N1 Vaccine. The two new HCPCS codes are the following:

Influenza A H1N1 immunization administration (includes the physician counseling the patient/family)

|
Influenza A H1N1 vaccine itself
|
Because the vaccine is being supplied to providers at no cost, there will not be any allowable for the actual vaccine (G9142), only its administration (G9141).
