Ted Parker, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive OfficerTop
The Parker Group was founded in 1983 as Ted L. Parker & Associates. Since that time, Mr. Parker has been involved in all aspects of growth and development including seven acquisitions completed to-date. Most recently, Parker has led a formalized acquisition and growth strategy program in addition to his day-to-day responsibilities as Chairman.
Prior to founding The Parker Group in 1983, Mr. Parker was co-owner and founder of an insurance agency, Brown & Parker, focused on property, casualty, life and health insurance. During that time, he led that company’s efforts in life and health insurance and was responsible for management and production as well as group insurance sales and service. Prior to founding the insurance agency, Parker was an agency supervisor for Transamerica Occidental Life, having been promoted from career agent. While career agent for Transamerica, he was a leading producer in employee benefits.
Mr. Parker attended Texas Christian University and Texas Tech University studying Business Management and Administration. He is a member of many national trade associations for the PPO and TPA industries. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Texas Association of Preferred Provider Organizations, a state-wide trade association for the PPO industry with a lobbying focus in Austin, Texas.

Bill Dembereckyj joined The Parker Group in November 2003 in his current position as part of CEO Ted Parker’s strategy to expand senior management’s capabilities in finance, accounting and acquisition strategy.
Most recently, Dembereckyj was President of Dallas-based New Life Treatment Centers, a $100 million sales company engaged in the healthcare, not-for-profit sectors and entertainment industries. Starting as the Corporate Controller of New Life eleven years earlier, Dembereckyj was significantly involved in the execution of New Life’s growth strategy during his tenure, including five acquisitions, three divestitures, four business start-ups and over $25 million in venture and senior debt financing. He was also integral in the eventual sale of New Life to Thomas Nelson Publishers (NYSE:TNM).
Prior to New Life, Dembereckyj was an auditor for KPMG-Peat Marwick specializing in the healthcare and insurance industries. Mr. Dembereckyj received his B.S. in Accounting from Biola University and an M.S. in Organizational Behavior and Strategy from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jim Pennington, President, Benefit Solutions and Network SolutionsTop
Jim Pennington joined HealthSmart, formerly The Parker Group, as President of its TPA Division effective January 2008 and was recently named president of its preferred provider networks. Pennington has a long history in the Employee Benefits arena with experience in all facets of delivering an integrated healthcare solution. Most recently, Pennington was President and CEO of ppoNEXT, a nationally focused preferred provider organization headquartered in Dallas, TX.
Prior to joining ppoNEXT, Pennington spent 20 years in the TPA industry as President and CEO of USI Administrators, a fully integrated healthcare outsourcing company with care management, PBM and fully insured and self funded administrative services. USIA had offices in Texas, New York, Georgia, Connecticut, Nevada and California and was the employee benefit administration arm of USI Insurance Services. Pennington was previously President and CEO of Acordia National, the TPA arm of Acordia, now Wells Fargo Insurance.
Pennington earned a BS degree in Journalism from West Virginia University and holds a Masters Degree in Safety Management from West Virginia University.
Alex Arnet, Chief Sales OfficerTop
Alex Arnet has 20 years of sales and sales management experience in the Managed Care industry. His successful track record in growing companies includes proven results at Prudential, United Healthcare, United Healthcare Administrators/Benesight and Great-West Healthcare. After United's acquisition of MetraHealth, he successfully transitioned the Rocky Mountain region into a top net growth region.
As part of the management team that took United HealthCare Administrators private, he was instrumental in managing the sales organization to produce results to make United HealthCare Administrators (which became Benesight/Harrington) the largest independently owned third party administrator in the country with over one million members. Before joining us as our Chief Sales Officer, Arnet was part of the management team that successfully launched the Specialty Markets division for Great-West HealthCare. The division was formed in late 2003 and added over 750,000 new members with over $100 million in revenue by the end of 2007.
John Bradshaw, Chief Information OfficerTop
John Bradshaw joined AAG in 2001 as Chief Information Officer. His focus is
on looking for opportunities where technology can be cost-effectively utilized
to increase the level of service to our customers, partners and providers. John
is instrumental in attaining company goals of increasing our investment in the
management and quality of information we use in the provision of our services.

technology and the leading supporter in the electronic exchange of information
as envisioned in the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Bradshaw has more than 23 years experience with a broad range of information technologies. He holds a BA in Computer Science from Rollins College and an MBA in General Management from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Lisa Cobb, Chief Financial OfficerTop
Lisa Cobb joined AAG in November 2002 as Vice President of Accounting and moved into the CFO position in May 2006. Her areas of responsibility include accounting and reporting, audits, M&A due diligence, synergy analysis, and post-acquisition integration efforts.
Cobb has over 22 years of experience in accounting, tax, and business operations and her diverse background includes both public accounting as well as Fortune 100 experience. Her career began in the Houston office of Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) before spending eight years with Central & South West (now American Electric Power) in various positions including: regulatory rate case support, tax, international accounting, and managing the company’s shared services project to prepare for deregulation in Texas. Cobb has served as the Chairman of the AEP Political Action Committee and won several Key Contributor awards.
Cobb received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Houston in Clear Lake and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas.
David Przesiek, President, Risk ServicesTop
Dave Przesiek is a 15 year veteran of the TPA and MGU industries and has worked extensively in the self insured community to help deliver competitively priced well managed health plans to employers of all sizes. He has experience with creative risk sharing arrangements, captive management, merger and acquisitions, operations, sales, PPO expansions, product development and population management products.
Przesiek began his carrier at North American Administrators and helped build it into one to the largest TPA's on the East Coast. He has spent the last six years as President of Medical Claims Service where he ran the TPA, assisted in the management of their MGU, and negotiated their reinsurance treaties and offshore rental captive contracts. Hethen helped sell MCS to a multibillion dollar holding company in New York State.
Przesiek is a graduate of Saint Bonaventure University, with a B.A. in Marketing and Management and has an MBA in Health Care Management from Canisius College. Przesiek participates in a number of industry trade groups and speaks regularly at conferences regarding integrated product design strategies.
Ed Whitton, President, Prescription Benefit ManagementTop
Ed Whitton joined American Administrative Group in 1998. His extensive background includes 25 years of experience in group insurance and financial services. Prior to joining American Administrative Group, Whitton was the CEO and a shareholder of a regional third party administrator of health benefit plans and brokerage operation in Jackson, Mississippi. He has been responsible for all aspects of a third party administrator including sales and service as well as operations.
Whitton received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in accounting from Mississippi College and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1976.
James Kelly, General CounselTop
Our in-house attorney, James Kelly, has worked in the health care industry since 2003 when he joined The Parker Group. His major responsibilities include monitoring legislative activities concerning employee benefit and managed health care issues, overseeing the negotiation and production of company contracts and providing guidance on general legal issues. Kelly received both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University and is a member of the Health Law, Corporate Counsel, and Insurance Law sections of the State Bar of Texas.
